The High Commission successfully coordinated the visit to Abuja Nigeria by Gen. Jacob John Mkunda, Tanzania’s Chief of Defense Forces, to attend the First African Chiefs of Defence Staff Meeting held from 25 to 27 August 2025 in Abuja. The meeting was under the theme 'Combating Contemporary Threats to Regional Peace and Security in Africa' and attended by 37 Defence Chiefs from African countries.

His Excellency Joseph Boakai, President of the Republic of Liberia, is among the 19 African Presidents who have arrived in Dar es Salaam to participate in the Africa Heads of State Energy Summit which started on 27th January 2025.
