Tanzanian High Commissioner Hosts ACCI Deputy President to Advance Tanzania–Nigeria Trade and Investment Cooperation.

On 2 June 2026, The Tanzania High Commissioner to Nigeria H. E. Selestine Gervas Kakele welcomed Prof. Adesoji Adesugba, the Deputy President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) at Tanzania House Abuja. During the Meeting H.E Kakele and Prof Adesugba focused on exploring opportunities to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Tanzania and Nigeria, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, commerce, and private sector collaboration. With the upcoming ACCI trade mission to Tanzania in August 2026, discussions highlighted the importance of fostering business-to-business engagements, and creating new avenues for mutual growth and prosperity between the two countries Private Sectors.

Welcoming H. E. Selestine Gervas Kakele, the High Commissioner Designate of Tanzania to Nigeria


H. E. Selestine Gervas Kakele, the High Commissioner Designate of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has arrived in Tanzania House Abuja to resume his duties. Arriving at the Chancery the High Commissioner was welcomed by Diplomatic and Support Staff in a brief but warm ceremony.

In his first remarks to Mission Staff, the High Commissioner committed himself to work closely with all stakeholders including Tanzania Diaspora in strengthening ties between Tanzania and Nigeria and all other countries of accreditation.

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
