The High Commission of the United Republic of Tanzania, Abuja-Nigeria

Today, 30/11/2023, the High Commission was honoured to receive the delegation from Fidson Healthcare Plc, led by Mr. Olugbenga Olayeye, Executive Director. Fidson is the leading Pharmaceutical company in Nigeria. The discussions focused on the available opportunities in pharmaceutical sector in Tanzania which the company is looking to explore.

On 19th November 2023, Tanzanian Diaspora living in Nigeria, came together to cheer the Tanzanite Queens, Under-20 Tanzania Women Football Team, during the return leg match against Falconets of Nigeria, for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Qualifier. The High Commission is appreciative of the patriotism demonstrated by Tanzanian Diaspora in Nigeria.

Tanzanite Queens Team and Tanzania High Commission Management Staff. On 16th November 2023, Tanzania High Commission was honoured to receive Under-20 Tanzania Women Football Team, Tanzanite Queens. Tanzanite Queens were in Abuja-Nigeria for a return leg match against their Nigerian counterparts, the Falconets. The FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Qualifier match scheduled for 19th November 2023. The Chargé d'Affaires a.i, Mrs Judica Nagunwa is addressing the Tanzanite Queens and assuring them of the Government of Tanzania's  support through the High Commission. LITF - Day 3. It was a greater honour to receive the Delegation from Lagos Chamber of Commerce at Tanzanian Stand who came to explore and learn more on Investment, Business and Tourism opportunities available in Tanzania. The delegation was led by H. E. Toki Mabogunje, Honorary Consul of Tanzania in Lagos. "Tanzania is the Best and Right choice to Invest,  Trade and Visit."

On Friday, 27th October, 2023, the Staff of the Tanzania High Commission, Tanzania Diaspora and friends of the Mission organised a farewell event in honour of the outgoing High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to Nigeria, Amb. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana and his family. Ambassador Benson Bana has just completed his tour of duty in Nigeria and other 14 countries of accreditation as well as AfDB and ECOWAS. He returns to the United Republic of Tanzania on 4th November, 2023.

It was an honour and privilege for the outgoing High Commissioner, Amb. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, to formally bid farewell to H. E. Amb. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, OON, Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Federal Republic of Nigeria in his office on 3rd November, 2023. Ambassador Benson Bana has just completed his tour of duty in Nigeria and other 14 countries of accreditation as well as AfDB and ECOWAS. He returns to the United Republic of Tanzania on 4th November, 2023.

As a gesture of goodwill, friendship and cooperation, on November 1st. 2023, the East African Community Ambassadors Group in Abuja, teamed up to bid farewell to their outgoing colleague, H. E. Amb. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, who is returning to Tanzania after a successful tour of duty in Nigeria. At the same time the group seized the opportunity to welcome to the group H. E. Christophe Bazivamo, the new High Commissioner of Rwanda to Nigeria.

The Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF)is the largest international exhibition in West Africa. The Trade Fair is the premier International Trade Fair in Nigeria with the spectacular 10-day event usually starting on the first Friday of November, annually. This year the fair will hold from Friday 3rd to Sunday 12th November, 2023. The LITF is one of the fairs powered by one of the oldest Chambers in Africa, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (135years), based in Lagos, Nigeria .
